roni-rider: hey jones, you awake? dad had me doing triple delivery shifts. "guaranteed delivery or it's free" is the WORST slogan when it’s snowing out.

so what's the latest drama? tim still moping around like the world ended? maniac being a know it all?

11/15/3781 - 11:17 PM

JONEZEEEE: still up. analyzing that zotaxian text from last month's find. in club the other day, timmy actually told some of the old mission stories and almost seemed like his old self for a minute.

i feel bad for tim, but also... he's making everything worse for himself? like, he could still be important to the team if he wanted to be. Dr. Cyber keeps giving him chances to work on special projects, but he just shrugs and says "whatever" like he's afraid to try. meanwhile shirley's designing entire new systems for the time machine and leading missions like she was born for it.

the weirdest part is how she handles it - super humble, always trying to include tim, giving him credit for ideas. but he just withdraws more.

11/15/3781 - 11:25 PM

roni-rider: Right? It's like he WANTS to be miserable. Mac told me he actually fixed the radiation seal on the new engine last week - something nobody else caught - but when Shirley tried to thank him he just mumbled and disappeared.

speaking of Shirley - wild how she went from "weird unicorn girl" to practically running the club! Remember when she couldn't even say hi to people without blushing? Now half the school wants to sit with her at lunch. Pretty cool transformation if you ask me.

The Maniac situation isn't helping though. timmy is going to go nuclear at him one of these days. i caught a rehearsal on a pizza run recently. Timmy looked ready to reprogram Maniac's bike to rocket off a cliff when he ad-libbed that kiss scene with Shirley.

Speaking of which... is Maniac genuinely into Shirley or is this just another one of his games? Remember last year with those twins from 8th grade chemistry? Or that disaster with the cheerleading squad? Guy leaves a trail of drama wherever he goes.

11/15/3781 - 11:31 PM

JONEZEEEE: Hard to tell with Maniac. He definitely gives Shirley more attention than his usual "conquests," but that could just be because she doesn't fall all over him like everyone else. The challenge factor.

What bugs me is he never seems to feel bad about the chaos he causes. Zero guilt. After that whole mess with the chem class twins, he just showed up the next day with his perfect smile like nothing happened. Classic rich kid who's never faced consequences.

I'm worried about Tim though. Something's going to break soon. He's bottling everything up. remember how he met his future self? Max Timebuster was his name (sounds like a Tim name too) and it must have been terrible for him. plus- losing his status in the club, watching Shirley get close with Maniac... has he even done anything else in school, besides time cruisers?

11/15/3781 - 11:40 PM

roni-rider: yeah, not healthy. mac tried to get him excited about modifying her hoverbike last week and he just stared at the wall. my sister got the cold shoulder! that's like kicking a puppy.

bright side: shirley seems to be figuring herself out. maybe she should leave tim to his misery, eh?

still, i hope things improve when dr. cyber's back full-time. he always knew how to handle tim. or maybe we need another actual mission - not these little maintenance runs. something to remind tim why he loved being a time cruiser in the first place.

11/15/3781 - 11:47 PM

JONEZEEEE: you might be right about needing a real mission. Tim needs to remember he's good at something.

As for Shirley, yeah - she’s the best. she's more confidently herself - unicorn obsession, comic references and all. it works.

I should sleep. Got a history presentation tomorrow. Just hoping the Tim-Maniac volcano doesn't erupt during the school play.

See you at lunch tomorrow?

11/15/3781 - 11:55 PM

roni-rider: good luck with your presentation! and yeah... fingers crossed for no eruptions. though honestly? part of me thinks tim needs to just get it out of his system and tell maniac exactly what he thinks. the tension is exhausting.

night! try not to dream in alien hieroglyphics again.
